I have been having a blast making mini file folders for my junk journals and paper crafting projects. I've turned them into pockets and notebooks and all kinds of fun little projects. There's a link to my Freebies Page at the end of this article, so you can download a free template and make some of your own.

The template is one page and has a template for a left tab, a middle tab, and a right tab. Below are some ideas of things you can create.

This mini file folder is made from kraft cardstock. Then I added some ephemera, some rub-ons, and some metallic accents.

This mini file folder was made from green cardstock. I cut out a slightly smaller book page and collaged over it.

Then, I used colored staples to attach a notebook to the inside back. Here's a 45 second video showing how easy it is to make colored staples. Video Colored Staples

An old file folder is the base of this mini. They are a great resource for all kinds of paper crafts. I collaged the front and added an eyelet and a charm to the tab. Then, I turned it into a freestanding pocket by adding gussets to the sides. Here's a quick video on how I add gussets when making pockets. Video Gussets
